Welcome to the new Calaméo blog!

For quite a while, we’ve been blogging about digital publishing and showing you how to do more with your documents online. That’s why it was time to give the Calaméo blog a whole new look. Now, there’s even more to explore.

Ready for your tour?

First up, our homepage offers tons of great content to discover. Flip through the headlines to check out some of our top articles, then head to the “Latest” section to see the most recent posts. Plus, the selection of “Recommended” posts is updated regularly with great reads from our archives.

Speaking of archives, it’s easier than ever to browse all of the blog’s content thanks to new categories. You can choose from:

  • PUBLISHING: All about how to publish your documents online.
  • BEST PRACTICES: Tips and tricks for making the most out of digital publications.
  • STRATEGY: The best ideas and smartest trends focused on content and commerce.
  • NEW: Announcements, updates and news from Calaméo.

You’ll also find the Library page handy for keeping up to date with Calaméo’s publications. Built using our own Library widget feature, this section provides easy access to our in-depth, illustrated Tutorials series and CALAMÉO magazine. And watch for even more to come in 2021!

In addition to these new features, we’ve improved some existing parts of the Calaméo blog. For example, switching between English and French is simple. Just choose the language you prefer in the top navigation bar, from any page. We’ve also made the search bar easier to find and use. But if you can’t find what you’re looking for on the blog, no sweat: scroll down and click the link to visit our Help Center.

Best of all, the Calaméo blog and all its posts are ready to read and share on any device. We hope that you’ll enjoy getting to know the new look, learning more about digital publishing and following the great content we have planned.

Happy Birthday, Calaméo!

Ten years ago, Calaméo opened its digital doors for the very first time.

That’s right—it’s Calaméo’s 10th birthday!

“I’m very proud of all that the team has accomplished over these ten years and how the platform has evolved to provide a high-end digital publishing experience for everyone,” said Mathieu Quisefit, CTO of Calaméo.

The look was a little different in 2008 but from the start our users could add internal and external links to their publications, embed them and share on social media.

Since then we’ve improved our digital publishing solution with features like YouTube video, readership statistics and subscriber management.

We introduced support for tablet and mobile devices, modernized our design and updated our easy-to-use Editor.

In 2017 we unveiled our new HTML5 reader and advanced conversion technology, confirming Calaméo as a leader in digital publishing.

Today we are honored to be home to a global community of over 6 million users and more than 12 million publications.

Coming soon: A new look for your publications!

We’ve got a big announcement to finish out the year on Calaméo. In just a few weeks, we’ll be unveiling an all-new publication viewer.

The new “2021” theme will offer a fully updated and improved viewer. Based on our classic “Default” option, “2021” has been reimagined with a streamlined design and modern feel.

But we’ve made great UX top priority in the new theme. You’ll find a viewer that’s easy and intuitive to use, as well as perfect for displaying your documents.
